When Njeri visited Kenya, she was able to visit with orphans and their guardians. The Principal of Gituto Secondary School for Boys and Girls hosted the gatherings. Also in attendance there were some young adults who had attended the school. Addressing the group, Njeri noted the anticipation of the guardians, teachers and community leaders who attended. They wanted to know how soon the circumstances of the children would change and became better. Njeri could only encourage them by saying that more help is on the way.
It is sad to tell someone who is hungry about tomorrow even when they don't have clothing or shoes. In spite of all that was going on, the report from the Principle to Njeri was that the children were working hard and their grades were excellent.
